Had a great time today at the Run. God bless you all for putting on such an honorable event and our prayers are with the brave families who have lost someone.

We will be there. We are running in honor of the Fallen and for our daughter who did a fifteen month tour in Iraq. We can handle the heat for a short time as she and many others did for months at a time under very difficult conditions.

I WILL BE THERE!!! I am so excited to do this, I am also so very happy that there are people out there who take the time out of their lives to do something like this for all those men and women in our Armed Forces!! My brother, sister and Brother in law are all in the military and it is very diffucult to see them leave to go "Over there" so it brings a comfort to me to know that there are people out there to support out troops!!

Looking forward to the event. Per the comment below, sorry person can't participate due to the current temps. Morning shouldn't be too bad. The heat just makes me appreciate the men and women toting 80+ lbs. in 100+ heat in some of the most difficult terrains our great earth has to offer. Or down in a sub, an engine room, or low alt. aircraft. God bless'em all and the friends and families of the fallen.

This is an awesome idea. I have a cousin in Iraq andn this is his 2nd tour. It's nice to know there are people who care. I am unable to participate this year, but a for sure yes for next year. May God Bless You.

A teriffic idea, God Bless your hearts. I want to join you, but there is a heatwave going on and it is simply not good timing for anyone to be outside in this heat, and my health will not permit it. If this event were held in late October it would be much cooler many more people could attend. Perhaps next year. Please tell me more. Steven Parker 936-499-7852

It's nice to know regardless of everyone's view point on the wars in the Middle East that we have your support. Good luck to everyone that is running/walking! We truly appreciate it!

I am in North Dakota and can not personally attend this event this year. I am in another run that very day locally, so I will combine my efforts and exert energy towards both. While I will think about all those that have shed their blood for my freedom, and all the families left behind to carry on their legacy, my thoughts will wander to 1 Lt. Roslyn Schulte- who died in May 2009. She was my Soldiers' Angels Ladies of Liberty hero- she was the first female from the AFA to die in combat. She never had the chance to have children, her boyfriend had just purchased the engagement ring to propose to her-- but never got to. I will run for my friend Eileen Goodiron; passionately in love with Nathan who died on Thanksgiving 2006. The smiling faces of Alex and Jolie-- their daddy hero dying so they could be free. I will take a moment to reflect upon all that have given so very much-- so that we can be BE all that we can be. Thank you to the families.

I do not usually run but I am excited about your event news passing my desk -- I am putting on my tennis shoes and ready to go! Let me know if you need any help or volunteers on Run Day?
